ARGO @ Parallelcon

30 Mar

At the Parallelcon, Dr.-Ing. Timo Stripf presented a talk on interactive parallelization of applications for embedded multicore processors

Computer-aided automatic software parallelization is often viewed as the ultimate goal of tool development in the embedded systems domain. This presentation offers insights why a “one-button solution” is not always best and what advantages an interactive parallelization approach can provide. Particular emphasis is placed on the visualization of options and their effects on the parallelization outcome. This approach allows also for evaluating and leveraging FPGA accelerators with little prior knowledge by displaying the effects of a changing parallelization immediately.
